Ir torch mounts

Hi All.
I'm after recommendations please for mounting systems for an ir torch onto 30mm tube scopes. I'd like it to be quick release for use on multiple rifles. My scopes have either 50mm and 56mm objectives. For using with a pard nv007.
Regards

I'd be inclined to go for an adjustable torch mount mate to allow moving the beam to where you want it and get the full benefit with the pard.

Torch mount

That's the type I use and I have used everything from a srx laser to a 67mm torch with no clearance issues.

If you use a picatinny ring mounted onto the scope this will clip on/off in a jiffy

Have got both an elevation & windage adjustable one (much cheapness from a well known internet auction site) and also a cheap ‘figure of eight’ clamp which both work well. Don’t go spending a fortune on fancy over engineered systems!:thumb:

A fixed short picatiny rail clamp on both scopes with the ir fitted to a dove tail adjustable de-mountable clamp.

Just look on any Air gun site and click your way through.

My x-y clamp for the IR was not cheap but works well.

I used a combination of bits from the Bay of E (cheap chinese) and a Buriss Signature mount, The Buriss mount has screw fixing weaver base so I used a weaver riser (again from China/eBay) to get the QR.
Clamp the ring to the scope and QR the torch on/off which because of the clever Buriss mount allows me to point the beam at where I need it.

Thanks for all the input guys. Going down the route of qr weaver scope ring on a rail. I'm going to get some bits ordered. I haven't got the torch yet (pbir x) can anyone tell me if its inch or 30mm
Regards

Sometimes you can get away with just an ordinary lever release style ring mount by rotating the the torch body, but if you are intending to use the IR on more than one rifle/scope set up then the adjustable mount is easier.
By the way things have certainly moved on from the PBIRX (unless it also now uses the new laser emitters) to the SRX, Dark Engine and Sirius XTL.

I had a Sirius xtl last week and sent it back as the performance was less than the built in one of the Pard. Presumably it was faulty?
I have also been warned away from the lasers as I'm told they are dangerous to the eye, particularly if you unintentionally point at something reflective and the laser bounces back, how true I don't know????

Mealjimmy may be along to give you the techy details of the new Laser IR`s but you will be fine with them.
Yes there must have been something wrong with your Sirius XTL if the inbuilt IR outshone it.

After trying several adjustable torch mounts one of these from eBay has proven to be the best value and most solid adjustable mounts I’ve tried for a 25mm/1” torch.

Just need to pair it with a simple scope to picatinny rail for a few quid also from the Bay.

If you need a 30mm adjustable mount for an XTL IR torch then the CRS one is very good, although a fair bit more costly.

Look on Ant supplies, excellent fully adjustable torch mount. Fit a short rail to scope so you can attach torch at will. Have now 3 rifles with short rails an 2x torch mounts one for IR other for red. Extremely reliable bit of kit. Ant supplies no postage, super fast and v good company to deal with.
