Is it me...

The influx of SUVs in the UK doesnt help as most people have smaller, lower cars, get a bigger car behind you with new lights and its like you're being abducted.

I think they are too bright generally when on normal beam, but what I have noticed recently is the latest lazy driving trend of people not dipping their main beam lights when other cars are approaching. It’s going the same way as people too lazy to indicate at roundabouts.

BMW will soon take indicators off all their new cars as the drivers never use them, they have never had to replace one under their warranty (April 1st headline).

Some beamers and others have the auto dips but they dont kick in soon enough, very annoying.

I’m glad it’s not just me who thinks this.
I find cyclists the very worst, wizzing about with their strobe lights blinding everyone.
It’s helpful to people with poor eyesight but for normal people it’s a bloody dangerous nuisance !
Those flashing rear bike lights should be outlawed. They're virtually impossible to see until you're right on top of them, as they get lost to vision amongst the general clutter of lights on the road at night.

I used to think that, then I got my own.
I love it when birds burst into song and random flowers bloom in response to the heat and light my light bar generates.
If you can’t beat them…put spots on their retinas

Or are headlights too frickin bright these days!!

It's getting to the point you can barely see when you have a stream of bright sparkly suv lights coming at you on a dark country road!

Thinking they have their full beam on you give them a Flash and then THEN go full beam and burn your retina's out your head!

I appreciate you need to seenwhere your going but these modern day lights can illuminate things for NASA's orbiting satellites!
Yes! certainly are and its because of how they rate them is based on the much outdated bulb it was based on . Same with lamps for foxing / deer culling / Rabbits . Apparently all foxes etc are lamp shy as Hell -until you use an old school halogen .
I mean look at the facts i havent seen a lamp in action here in many years , so are long dead foxes speaking from the grave ?
We had 12v halogen headlights and motorbike Lead acid batteries and could still earn decent money on pelts !

Yes, those white strobes are especially bad on the long straight roads in lincs!

All fun and games till they get a taste of 70 watts worth of Lightforce HID.

Another part of the problem is the lack of maintenance on Lincolnshire roads, few cats eyes, white lines that have not had a lick of paint in donkeys' years, and as for the nearside line, well they have been long forgotten. Had to drive home last night on A16 north of Boston in my sons' Subaru, as my Hilux is having a belt change, the fact that I was siting 2 foot lower than usual probably didn't help, but it was truly painful, either oncoming lights were too bright, undipped or badly adjusted. I'm sure many of the cars would not pass an MOT test with those lights!
Reflective paint on the white lines appears to be a thing of the past.
