Italian Spinone

I’ve seen them working birds and they’re biddable. Apart from that I like bigger dogs and I’m looking for a viszla replacement, as my older dog is slowly succumbing to the big C.

I've only ever seen them working on birds too (a sporting agent near us both had one) but I know a group of Italian's who used to come stalking with us used them on deer at home. I'm not sure if it was just for tracking or they stalked with them though.

I had one and we thought she was autistic!
Similar dog to Marly and I and arguably the best dog ever for all the wrong reasons
She'd go deaf if her smells were more exciting but hated going into cover on birds.
Couldn't take her bird shooting anywhere there would be deer as she'd be gone for dust if she scented one.
Tracking was amazing if she was bothered to do it or until there was more interested in from another scent then wrong way.
Superb family dogs but watch out by slobber if theres a shake coming, nowhere was safe!
Loyal, layed back dog for a big family home not for a run in the back garden
