Jacket or Smock ?

I think I may be a little late to the party here. But I have always used jackets. I recently swapped to a smock and I couldn't be happier.
I bought the Swedteam anorak from bushwear when they had it on sale for £95 and would happily pay the full price at double for another.
My friend had one for a couple of years and always raved about it and now I can see why.

IMO the only downsides compared to a jacket is the nause of putting it on and the binocular pocket being located too low to be practical for binos. But the rest is fine, it has almost full length ventilation zips either side from bottom to armpit so regulates temperature well, fully windproof, didn't let water in from a good soaking. I'm also a big fan of the fact i can sit down in the wet and its long enough to protect my bum. Im not a fan of waterproof trousers and actually stalk all year round in a thin set of trousers but the smock keeps me mostly dry.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I have a swanndri zip smock in sort of DPM cammo, size large that's surplus and previously advertised on here. £70 posted. Pm me if you're interested. Dave
