Keep in mind...hunting concessions are not based in any city, towns or any public places...it is in the bush! Nobody else to see for miles and miles, only my ugly face...Contracting Covid-19 will be unlikely! A Hangover possible!

Yes agreed - except you go through airports and chances are you will have a night or two in or around a city or town. And even out in the bush miles from anywhere supplies etc will be coming in from city. Yes agree once in bush minimal chances. Its just the getting there.

Here in Uganda, there have been some 40,000 cases, and less than 400 deaths. In the same period of time, there were about 15,000 deaths from malaria, and 15,000 from TB/HIV... Chances to get a bad case of Covid in the region are quite slim.

I agree 100%.

The issue for us in the UK is getting there. It's technically illegal to travel to RSA for a holiday right now. And with current infection rates will be for quite some time. I've written 2021 off as far as hunting is concerned and I'm really not sure 2022 will be an option if I'm brutally honest.

At 67 years of age my time is limited have rolled flights over 3 times now it's supposed to be October but I have my doubts!
Flights paid before the first lockdown . At least virgin are doing their bit thank god!

Yes when will it end, for us guys who want to get to Africa how are those countries lik SA, Namibia and Botswana going to get off the Red list this year. My understanding on the traffic light system is that it’s a combination of low case numbers and high levels of vaccination neither of those things are going to significantly improve this year sadly. If they got to Amber and accepted that you had to self isolate but would Border Force process our rifles and paperwork given you are not supposed to go to Amber countries for a “holiday” I am hoping for March 2022 to get to my 3 times rolled forward Namibia trip, 2 years lost effectively for a guy in decent shape but still 64

I am a partner in a safari co and need to get there you would think SA would get on with vaccinations but I expect all the money has gone into a back pocket

Yes once all the government, the heads of the army and their families have been vaccinated then it’s the billionaire/millionaire classes then they can move on to selling the rest of their quotas on the black market. ( Ohhh the cynic in me)
