KIBBLE +RAW

Is it ok to add raw meat to a complete diet using the kibble like a mixer. I understand it will upset the balance of the complete diet but remember someone on another thread saying they almost killed their dog doing this.

I’ve done it before with no Problems, but I have also read that you shouldn’t as it can cause gastroenteritis due to them being digested at different rates, like I say, I’ve never had an issue.

My dogs are on dried mix and tinned meat most of the time , If I bring any deer home I tend to feed heads, ribs , legs etc to them with no issues, I tend to alternate the days between there normal food and the raw , stops them binding up on the bones, never had an issues as yet, been doing it a long time. I am however thinking if it is worth it though as reading some horror stories of broken teeth/ punctured intestines and gastric issues .

Yeh don’t intend to use bones just the flesh and the complete kibble for the bone content
