Knife making

No idea about Cheshire or Staffordshire, but I had a day of one-to-one tuition at Twisted Horseshoe Knives in Suffolk, on a "knife in a day" course. It was a proper job in the forge, starting from scratch. Well worth the journey.

How much was it if you don’t mind me asking pal ?

That’s really nice well done all in one day aswell
Thanks. I wanted to keep to a fairly simple workmanlike shape. I got some inspiration from another SD member, particularly for the handle profile. I was just amazed by the processes involved. For example, all the shaping was done using the forge and anvil, not cutting and grinding as I thought!
If you check out Twisted Horseshoe Knives on Instagram you'll see some fine examples of other students' work, each to their own design (within reason: It's got to be doable in a day!).

Credit where it's due matey. That worked out really well and I am delighted for you.
What are you plans for a second one ?
Credit to you for the inspiration to give it a go, and for your help with dimensions etc.
Really enjoyed the day, and would love to make another one sometime.
I'll post some more pics shortly.
