BUMP Happy New Year folks !

I offer a sharpening service for any plain edged (non serrated) edge tools. Knives can be sharpened or reground to remove edge damage. Costs vary with the work to be done but are kept as reasonable as possible. Knives can be posted or dropped off and collected from me near Wellingborough Northants.

Why ever not ? A properly sharp blade makes the job at hand so much easier, and safer too. You tend to have to force a dull blade and that's when slips and accidents happen.

You do have to remember the golden rule though .. Keep the pink bits BEHIND the shiny bit !

Hi .

Definitely recommend using Longstriders sharpening/regrinding service.

Sent my Izula 2 on Thursday as I struggled to get it sharp (usually not a problem on waterstones with scandi grinds but second bevel knives are alittle trickier). Received back today shaving sharp. Very quick turn around and not only razor sharp but it has also been given a slightly higher bevel than before , now finished with a very shiny convex grind.

The complementary plaster in the packaging put a smile on my face but really impressed with how the knife has now ended up.

I Sent 3 knives to Ian (Longstrider) last week, Very quick turnaround and a absolutely stunning edge on each knife, I have to say I have Never had a New knife or used one that has been as sharp as these ones that came back from Ian, had a really nice chat with him on the phone and I will definitely be sending more knives to him for him to work his magic on, 10/10 for Longstrider

There's a special delivery service where the delivery driver checks ID and age.

I had 5 knifes done by long strider a few weeks ago, had a good chat and good banter, all the knives were surgical, and done multiple beasts since and stropped them after and they’re still perfect,

Would happily reccomend anyone to him for knife resharpening I will be using him in the future now on for my sharpening
