Here are a few things i am working on . I dont really do leatherwork as my time is limited with the knife production.
These are however prototypes cut, stitched, dyed by my own hands .
Two of my favourite carry systems 1. the cross draw , this is worn on the LHS of the right handed user , handle to the front . It keeps knife and rifle from banging together and you can keep visual on it while sheathing in better safer ! It is also a lot more comfortable to wear sat in vehicles .
2. Is the adjustable neck carry / pocket carry dangler . wear it like a neckless , popping it in and out when working on a beast and wear is discrete under your jacket . A bit more multi purpose because i mostly carry one of these in the leg pocket on my pants with the adjustable / re adjustable cordage looped onto your trouser belt loop for security .

i have a very good man that i have used for years now , i shall not be leaving him . Will just be working on new prototype designs, honing my skills myself, odd one offs when say when it needs doing in a big hurry .

I have carried a knife like this sheath set up in my pants pocket looping the lanyard around my trouser belt loop for maybe five or six years . Had to go out for some parts this morning just pulled the knife and left in on the table leaving the sheath and lanyard attached .
When actually working on a beast or a few etc i simply unloop it and use it as a neck carry knife.
I would never wear a knife without a welted edge so you can in no way push the blade through at the stitched edge that a knife being templated for the welt

The knife is not the hazard, you, getting the lanyard hung up on something and slipping with it around your neck is, you need a ”fuse” that gives out before you hurt yourself. Theres lots about.

No, the manufacturer did it for me with the moulded strap attachment, it’s designed to snap away. You’re also generally dealing with a flat strap which is a bit more forgiving if it does get a jerk.
I’m not trying to rain on your parade, but putting a loop of paracord which can easily support your weight around your neck without some sort of break link is just not a good idea.
Thats nothing more than well meant advice, take it or leave it..

Here’s a quick solution with no design changes needed, instead of a single loop, cut the cord and lock it into the 2 punched holes in the sheath with figure of 8 knots, the knots will pull through the holes with a bit of a jerk.

I have an Arthur Wright bushcraft knife. It's got a fantastic blade and actually makes for a very proficient and robust stalking knife but the sheath is crap. I'd love to have a custom sheath made, without the fire striker pocket which I don't need.
If you haven't time to make custom sheaths yourself, could you point me in the direction fo someone you'd recommend?

This is a favourite of mine.

Nuanced method of wearing is to have one cord on each shoulder. This has the effect of locating knife in same place above left or right hip regardless of movement whilst walking. I.e. it also makes sheath less prone to dangling in the gralloch when kneeling over carcass.

never tried a Double bubble ? Carry . My own version sits in my pocket with the cordage loop poked through a belt loop to secure and the knife sits enclosed in my trouser pocket . With one beast it wont go around my neck
If i am carrying a Kiridashi that's on a neck cord under my jacket .
Whatever suits the individual that's why i have ended up with a lot of sheath patterns / templates . People want different stuff and the customer gets the item they want
