Hi All.
I'm after inheriting a very clean krico. I'm after giving it a good bore clean it in good condition. I can't seam to be able to strip down the bolt to give it a go clean it been sitting in a gun safe for 15 years. I don't know what model it is there is no indication on the barrel or action.
I would be very grateful for any help please

Oohh that’s gorgeous.
Ammo is about as easy to come by as solid gold toilet paper.
It’s difficult to reload too, the case is thick and hard to resize.
I know a man who had one, I’ll give him a call Monday.

I had two friends who used that great calibre.
One in Scotland whose rifle went to a certain policeman who writes books, before I could lay hands on it.
The one in Wicklow shot everything with his from fox to Red stags. Seemed to have the edge over my 22/250.

A while ago I bought a Krico 5.6x57 stutzen. The shorter barrel on mine is probably not ideal to wring out all the velocity potential but it still steps out. I managed to get the last set of dies that Kranks had in stock but so far am relying on RWS factory ammo. I have acquired 3 'lots' of ammo over time, one a cancelled order which the dealer was pleased to see the back of and two lots from auctions, Holts and Southams all at a good price. Feeding it on new factory would as dunwater noted be very expensive and time consuming but it's not a high volume shooter so enjoy hunting with it.

There are two different die sets on offer US RCBS seem to size for converting .270Win cases which have the 13 thou wall thickness, but the better dies are for the 24 thou wall RWS original cases.

The 5.6x57 and the 6.5x57 are two I’ve wanted to try but as of yet have not . There have been several others in this country quite similar to the 5.6x57 , the 22-6mm as well as the 224 TTH to name two . I fooled with a 219 Zipper in a Marlin lever action loading the Nosler 60 grain Partition although not quite as fast as those based on the 7x57 case . Anyway my intrest in these was for deer not vermin . Although in my state deer season requires .23 caliber or larger , however .22 cal is okay for damage control .

Any information is greatly appreciated any idea what model it is. I intend to clean down the stock and oil finish it again keep it all original. Any idea on how to separate the bolt. It has a lovely palm swell it just feels very nice to handle
