Hi Folks ive struggled getting results with our Labradar Chrono seems to me touch and go getting results every shot. This is possibly due to using sound mod Ive found that if the barrel is not within twelve inches of the chrono it won't give a result. My question is do I need to one of the triggers and if so which is best. any advice gratefully received. ps this is for centerfires

In the short spell I had a Labradar, I used the trigger. But one issue I found was how the trigger was attached. I found it it was attached in any way to the barrel, it interfered with barrel harming ics and ruined a load development.

Buy a triggering device and mount it to the scope

That’s the only way I found reliable results with mine

One of my clubs has a ladradar.
It is set up using an airgun trigger from ladradar.
It was supplied with a wee bracket that slips on to the side of the unit and it works great.

I found that the mini USB socket lasted about five sessions , and batteries lasted about 5 minutes, so I modded mine to take an external battery pack, and bought an external trigger and sight from "1066" on www.full-bore.co.uk.
That sorted it...I used adhesive backed velcro to stick the trigger to the bipod leg, and it was 100% reliable from then on.
Then came the Garmin........

Found this pic of mine taken for the ad when I sold it. You can see the battery pack attached. It uses a magnetic usb type connector, and the trigger is the small orange gizmo attached to the bipod leg.
The sight has a magnet that holds it snugly in position. The trigger and sight are must haves if you want to use one of these chronies without tearing your hair out.......
