I am thinking of buying a Landig Game fridge and was wondering what current users think of them. Are the what they say on the tin and or do they give any trouble ?

I have a LU7000 with an additional hanging rail.

It’s excellent and can accommodate up to 6 Roe.

Very happy Landig owner.

So much better than a converted domestic fridge re temperature control and ventilation. I wish I hadn't messed around with second hand domestic units.
100% agree. Expensive in real terms but buy and pay once for quality. Mine is their largest unit and fantastic. Great service and support. Proper kit.

I’ve bought a landig chiller unit I’ve used to replace an old chiller unit on a lorry back no problems and easy to fit good make

Expensive for what they are - I'd go small walk in chiller if you have the space (that's what I did - was about half the price of Landig and more hanging space inside).

I used one for 5 years until I out grew it and it was excellent, you can get a much lower temperature than a cold room, and it was also very efficient. In regard to money I’m sure you can find a cheaper solution but they are very reliable and you can adapt the rail that comes with them to link in with a scaffold pole, which gives you a bit more room to play with when u set up a winch. Much better to spend the money and buy the right thing than to scrimp and save and end up with something you will have problems with. Take pride in your carcasses and enjoy the results.

I see comments on here about fridge reliability, fridges are like most mechanical things if you look after them they will look after you.
If you buy something new it is going to be reliable, mostly.
A few years ago I had a guy ring me to ask if I could re gas some fridges for him.
It turned out he was buying container loads of returns from a lot of the big retailers.
He repaired anything electric and I sorted out the gas problems.
For every 10 fridges I looked at 1 had never been gassed by the manufacturer.
I have also seen this recently with a big double door stainless fridge that was replaced by the manufacturer no questions asked.
When it was plugged in from new it didn't work when checked it contained no gas and had no leaks.
But not everyone can afford to pay £3 - 6k for a new fridge.
Just as an after note, there is a household fridge in the science museum that has been running constantly since 1948.
