Le Chameau Mouflon Plus Review

Right.

I'm not bothered what everybody else wears, nor what all the 'walking/army/sas wannabe/afghanistanneverevenbeenthere' forum boys toss themselves off over. I wear these 'cos they are comfy and very silent.

Don't know how long they last as I've only had them a year.

And yes, they are expensive.

Google for "Chiruca Dogo Boa Boots" if you give a toss. 8)

at the rate that le chameu have gone up in price we can now sell the chiruca boots cheaper than them

very good boots :-D :-D

Just to add my views:-

I think Chameau footwear is rubbish. When I buy a pair of £200 leather lined wellies I expect them to last more than a year. Normally the zips break and the soles start coming away resulting to wet feet.

I stalk with a bloke swears by Hunter Sovereigns so will try those soon.

Try lowas!

I will wear nothing else after my first pair the combat gtx lasted me 3 yrs! I finally hung them up after my yr of hunting in new zealand, i hunted at least 3 days aweek and they coped with everything i threw at them and extremely comfortable! Im now the proud owner of the Hunter gtx extreme, more comfortable and even more hard wearing thanks to the rubber rand!

Highly recommended!

Ive had my Mouflon Plus boots since 2004 and they get worn most weekends. Still water tight, exceptionally soft and comfortable and no squeaks. They get dried out after every use and are given another coat of old fashioned boot dubbin.

Left boot leather has started to crack and the rand now keeps detaching but I just re-glue them every once in a while. Around 4 of the lace loops have broken off after arguements with rocks... it would appear that these become very brittle over time

Can't say I am dissapointed but wouldn't reccommend them to anyone paying £230! Mine cost £90 back in 2004 from an online vendor!

I smashed both feet in my early years, so I tend to be a little weak in the ankle dept, I favour the old fashioned Lundhags,

Hurrah, another vote for Lundhags here - waterproof, bombproof, and if you do get the inside wet wading through a burn, they're dry by morning!

I've got to say Lundhags are just brilliant,my Mouflons have still got a bit of life left in them yet but since having got some Lundhag syncros i don't want wear the Mouflons ever again.
