Left handed trigger finger gloves

Morning All,

I’m after some gloves with a fold down trigger finger on the left glove. Any recommendations? Preferably medium weight and waterproof but would consider others.

Looking online, adverts don’t make it clear whether the fold down finger is on both gloves.

TIA

i use these for foxing. both gloves are the same and convert to mitts. all fingers exposed and the thumb can be exposed too if needed.

I use normal knitted gloves and make a buttonhole vertical slit in the trigger finger where the pad of your finger is. It’s easy to wiggle your finger in and out, there is less flappy stuff to get in the way and it’s cheap.

Sealskin shooting gloves thumb and trigger finger fold over on right and left hand it looks like they are called field and target Stanford

Hi just wondering if they were a good job was thinking of getting a pair 🤔
Yes, I’m impressed with them. Good fit m, and the fold over mitten part is well insulated on the back of the hand, leaving some dexterity even when mittens are on. Only issue is if your coat has long, loose sleeves it can dislodge the magnets holding mitten part back, necessitating them being tucked inside the coach sleeve.

It may be easier to convert to right handed or get your partner to whack your hand with a ruler or cane when you try to use your left hand…😂

Fortunately/unfortunately, I am just too young to have had this happened to me at school. It certainly would have made buying and selling rifles a lot easier!

Are you any good with a needle and thread? I just choose some gloves which fit the bill in every other respect apart from fold back finger and thumb. It's fairly straightforward (~30 mins work) to adapt them, I simply make a lateral cut across the inside of the left index and left thumb, contain the ragged edges with a strip of ribbon or hemming material, and finish them off with a patches of velcro on the respective nails and knuckles. The cuts will compromise the waterproofness, but no glove is truly waterproof and also usable!

I gave away the Sealskin gloves that I got for filling in surveys, even the largest size was too small and tight.

Whilst we are on the left handed question, why do all modern shooting jackets have a radio / pocket just in the exact place where I want to the butt of my shotgun or rifle.

And those jackets waistcoats and jumpers all with a leather piece on the right shoulder just look stupid and unbalanced - are the manufacturers that tight that they can’t be bothered to put one on the shoulder so you don’t look lopsided.
