Whats everybody else using ???
Cheers
Steve.

Maxtoch zoomie, absolutely stunning, expensive but quite capable of lighting up a charlie @1000yds, and when I say lighting up I mean clearly see colour. Beam is about 30yds @ 1000yds closed up.

Where did you buy yours from?

Hi,
I bought this one from a member here a few years ago, can’t remember his name but he said he was a a Vicar.
2” o d lens and adjustable beam.
I clamp it to barrels with this magnetic clip.
Couple of coke tin shims to line it up with scope view and can easily shoot foxes (Not me) out to 300 metres.
Ken.

Hi Ken
Ideally looking for a LEP torch. I do have a couple of Torchs but would like to try the new LEP ones.
The Vicar you are talking about, I think his name is Neil Smith he is something like "TIKKA 1 " on here.
Steve.

Did you get one yet?
I bought a Vastlite Minima Bow as recommended by?
Needed two wraps of double sided tape to fit in my magnetic barrel clamp.
Amazing throw for size.
Ken.

The same company do another, the Bow : bigger battery, clicky on off switch at the rear of the torch, heavier than the Bow Minima. The module is exactly as the one shown, though — identical to the one in your Bow Minima, so a weight penalty of sorts ( it’s still a small and lightweight torch, just not a ridiculously small and ultra lightweight one), longer use on the bigger battery ( the Bow Minima battery is small by comparison, but the upside is that if needed you could carry a couple spare ones in your pocket without noticing their weight), and the convenience of a push button in and off switch at the back of the torch. You’d probably only need one wrap of tape round the body if it to fit in the mount too.

Hope you are as happy with the Bow Minima as I am Ken👍🏻

flashlightgo.com seems to be the most straightforward site to get them from, but there are others too.

EDIT: The Bow has a clip which cannot be readily removed, the clip on the Bow Minima is easily removed. For the larger of the two, you might have to clamp the torch in the mount around the head end, or saw or cut off the clip if mounting it farther back — no such issues with the smaller torch (Bow Minima).

Ff;
Tail switch appeals, will look at getting one.
Pleased with Mini but not tried it in the field yet.
I’m usually asleep before it goes dark at this time of year. 🤣
Thanks for that info.
Ken.

See my edited post about the non-removable clip on the larger Bow; I’m with you on the usefulness of the tail switch, but you might have to clamp it around the head end or remove the clip by force, or devise a way to use the clip as the means of attaching it to the rifle.

Might have to bait the coal bunker meantime, then 😆

This is the second one I’ve bought from that company.Ken.
I’d be interested to hear how you feel they compare side by side (Bow versus Bow Minima) both in performance and in practical use when you have them both at hand, Ken; I’ve also been tempted by the larger of the two lately, but I know that the smaller is more than sufficient to get the job done, and so just got a couple spare rechargeable batteries to suit.

Ha,
It’s another Mini Bow I’ve ordered.
Don’t think I have a need for the bigger one.
Thanks, Ken.

Well, I thought I’d ordered another Mini Bow, but that order I posted shows I paid for the bigger one!
Sure enough, it arrived today.
It weighs a ton compared to the Mini but it is made from steel? And not Ali like the Mini. Actually feels nice in your hand.
Feel sure the tail cap will screw off to remove the clip but not tried that.
Won’t know until tried it but I think I might prefer the bigger one, especially. as it’s got the tail switch.
Got loads of batteries but not a single one (Apart from the one it came with) for the Big Bow so gotta order those now.
Cheers, Ken.

Ff;
No luck in finding a remote switch for the W10 Acebeam but not too arsed.

This is the Big Bow. No
