Thanks Patrick. Whilst I thought that I was fit for work, I have been having several more sleepless nights with abdominal pain and the headaches have returned, so it appears that this is not going to be a swift recovery. I am only working part time as too exhausted to do very much. Any warnings that can be shared will be worth-while if only it prevents one case. I have received a few private comments about perhaps carelessness, or being just unlucky because there are so few reported cases these days. Irrespective of the wheres and whyfores, it's happened, I'm ill, and I can only hope that it's proven a salutary lesson. It certainly has to me. A factor in my case was that I was already poorly from an unrelated illness beforehand, and having a low immune system probably had a lot to do with me not being able to fight it off as I might normally have done. It is still widespread, irrespective of how few reported cases there are, because you only really hear about the serious cases and not the many more where people just come down with cramps, perhaps headaches and short lived flu like symptoms, recover and think no more about it.
I hope that everyone has an enjoyable and fruitful shooting season ahead this autumn/winter and that everyone stays healthy!
