Yes I remember some rants about. plastic gears instead of full metal mec? I have zeiss v6 on both my kipps just because could find them at a very good bargain but still think the best glass for such skinnies weapons would be a kahles 2-12 x 50 or a docter 2.5-10 x 48. Both very light but extremely dependables. Have to say that I don't mind having illumination in kipplauf's scoopes because are mainly dedicated to cervids hunt day-time and if needed (pika stalking night time) I can easily mount a Pard on both.The Swaro 3.5-18 has gained a reputation here for fragility.
Lovely glass, but the elevation turret takes a dump more often than desirable.
On the other hand, when they work they are a lovely piece of gear, and if you aren't 2 days walk in then its not the end of the world to send it back on warranty.
