Lightweight boots

They are US sizes so in medium men's sizes US sizes are 1 number higher but look at a sizing chart before purchase to compare UK/European/US sizes. I had many many pairs one the years- all were well made. The sizes are consistent and match what they say in equivalent UK sizes. They are also generally "wide" fittings - equally importantly.
It's the tech in the way they are designed - soles not to pick up too much weight, angle of ankle support (where present), the eyelets and insoles - in the heavier boots the cork granule base above the sole which moulds with heat to your foot shape when first used etc etc etc - those are the clever bits.
Is it the trophy series you have?

Some of those Rocky boots look pretty smart… guess I’ll be getting a pair of them too then! Cheers for the info 👌🏻
If you combine them with MacGaiters - the ones invented by Minette Bell-MacDonald - then you have a combination sufficiently waterproof to permit you to cross burns up to knee deep with relative impunity. These are the ones that clip to the front-most part of the laces and are velcro up the outside edges to the top. They used to come in an assortment of colours, camouflage and plain. I nearly lost a pair in mid-Sweden when I took them off and laid on the ground, within 5 yards, of where I was having a dump! They are made of heavy duty neoprene and are durable in everything except recent forestry brash, where you can puncture them, but crossing a barbed wire fence they are strong enough to stop your leg in mid-swing if snagged: good kit. The other great advantage is that they are as near silent as makes no odds.
