Lightweight jacket

Thinking of getting one myself. What is the sizing like on these? Was last season the game season? If so they seem to be very versatile. I was using a Shooter King jacket and got wet all the time. Looked good and well made but more bloody rubbish.

You're in luck! I'm working from home today, so have just hauled Charlie's jacket out and tried it on.

His jacket is C52 and fits me - I'm 5'10", 44" chest, 36" waist and about, ahem, 14 3/4 stone..... I would consider getting a 54 for me, just so there would be room for a fleece/jumper underneath if necessary.

I'm the same sizing, but stuck with Size 52 as this is a summer jacket for me and will only have a t-shirt underneath. My Pro Hunter is the same size, and I can easily layer up under that, so it's possibly just a variance in cut between manufacturers.

Good point - and the C52 isn't like Lycra on me!! The C52 would be perfectly fine unless you wanted the room for a couple of layers, or possibly a little more room for airflow (the Axton has pitzips - another plus point I'd say)

Anyone know if the lowlander is still available?

Has anyone first hand of the ridge line pintail or is it a boil in the bag like the monsoons?

No, it doesn't seem to be available through any of the normal retailers now but I'll pm you the name of the maker as he managed to get hold of one for me.

It may sound stupid but if you measure your chest say in just a t shirt is that what the actual measurement is and not taken from other garments. Sorry if I am being a pain but if I order one I want it to be right. I actually measure 38/39 in a shirt and would possibly want to layer under it later in the year.
Cheers,
John.

Not being a pain! No problem!

I've just run a tape measure around my chest, and with just a shirt on I'm a 44".

JMH123. Do you have a product code for the packaway waterproof ? The B110 in olive is spot on based on my personal experience.
Arktis B110 in olive green (or camo). No contest. Plus their packaway waterproof jacket if you must (packs to about the size of a large orange!). See their current sale items.

A192. Fits in a pocket. Has a hood. Cheap, practical, and effective!
B110 (or any of their other jackets) good on the hill in coyote- its a tan colour which blends in better than plain green, I think.

Kenai + Yukon = 550 USD. Exchange rate say 1.27, so around 430 GBP plus P&P and customs fee.
Assuming customs fees are around 35 %, looking at 600 GBP. Is my maths correct?
