Lincolnshire sabs.

One for BASC etc. Lincolnshire sabs are planning to disrupt grouse shooting and declaring it on FB. Surely this is rioting and interfering with a legal occupation. Hopefully Police will be notified and will arrest and remand these groups.
I have as much hope as I have of winning the lottery without a ticket. Two tier is it not?

We can live in hope. Just liberal use of pepper spray and tasers before arrest would make it better for me.

Yes one would like to think that with zero tolerance of using FB, X etc to whip up hatred, violence etc these sorts of activities could be nipped in the bud.

I saw a discussion on this a couple of days ago. Prosecutions are being made under Section 127 of the communications act Communications Act 2003

Where
A person is guilty of an offence if he—

(a)sends by means of a public electronic communications network a message or other matter that is grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character; or

(b)causes any such message or matter to be so sent.

I suppose the test is whether or not the posts in question are of “menacing character”.

Are there grouse moors in lincolnshire? They’d have a bit of a drive to get to one surely.

In derbyshire the police around here have been quite firm in protecting legitimate hunt activity. The sheffield sabs posted something a while back which seemed to imply the police supported their views which was taken seriously by the police and dealt with.

The latest shenanigans might actually result in stronger action against lawlessness and intimidation.

Very few grouse to shoot this year for the most part so sabs out of a job till next season 😂
Most entertaining day for me on grouse moor was when they turned up but a long time ago
And both mounted police and dog handlers did a great job and we had some fun too!
Was back in the time when mrs McCartney was indirectly funding them apparently but to be
Fair on speaking to some uni students some said for the money they would have come beating/ driving
Given a choice and were nice folks and simply there for the money and free lunch.
Police back then knew their activities and had a response group that season following them up and down
A1, quite a comedy really with a fair few arrests and made a entertaining break if not shooting.
