Like many people I use UltraFire-type batteries in various pieces of equipment. These range from 4800mAh to 9800mAh but being bought online may or may not be the real deal, I've no equipment to test them.
Either way my Pard NV007 chews through them like a vibrator in a convent. I also find that spare batteries lose their charge over a period of a few weeks and I get through (say) four batteries in a five hour session (and that's with me switching the unit off between scoping sweeps and shots). So I have two questions, one for NV007 users and one general:
How long does a 4800/9800mAh battery last in your unit? More often than not I put in a fresh-out-of-the-charger battery and see only two bars on the battery indicator, is this normal?
Is it safe to leave Lithium Ion batteries on permanent charge so that they are topped off each time I need them?
I'm thinking a good quality (ie, not the £2 charger from eBay) 'intelligent' charger like this one might be what I need.
Intelligent charger.
PS. I'll be asking on Nightvisionforum too so apologies for the repetition if anyone reads there as well.
