Dear all

I’m looking to buy a live catch fox trap. Which one do I need to buy? I’ve looked at the one Bushwear has and also the Trapman which are around the £120 mark. Any recommendations?

Many thanks

Try Colin's Traps( on faceache). Work well.

Make your own , i used 6 meta l4x4 2"mesh panels i bought from a scrapyard and an old drop gatefrom the sheep race for the door a simple trigger with a hanging bait

Buy the 50mm galvenised mesh and make your own, you can then make them to what you want

i made mine foldable all in galvanised steel, they work perfectly with a sliding trap door, well worth making a decent one on a bait hook and pin works brilliant

A friend of mine made a couple of excellent fox traps out of the galvanised gabions they use on some road-building projects. They were big and had to be shifted on the front loader but they worked a treat!

We always left ours in permanent sites rather than moving them, over the years caught quite a lot.

Thank you gents for all the suggestions. I’ll work through the suggestions and do a bit. more diligence. I want to look at the Colin’s traps suggestion too but I’m not on Facebook and so I’ll get one of the whipper snappers to show me on their account.

Thanks again.
