load data, Hodgdon CFE223 FOR .223 53gr VMAX please

Thanks guys for your help
I'm new to all of this and might be going about it the wrong way
I've been using Hornady superformance varmit 53gr VMAX factory rounds
I'm getting on really well with them and want to replicate them as much as possible, but finding it hard to get components like everyone else at this time
Cheers
Ian

I'm curious. How are you going to go about replicating the factory ammo? I think that handloads that attain factory ammo standards are worth striving for. So many people say they handload to best factory performance but that isn't always going to happen. Obviously, your factory loading is worth replicating, right? ~Muir

hopefully by using the right powder and a 53gr bullet i can match the fps of the factory ammo near enough, but improve the grouping side of things
as i said above i like the Hornady superformance varmint 53gr vmax factory ammo but there getting harder and harder to buy and the price seems to be going up every time you can get them

there stated velocity is proberly using a 24" barrel with a 1-8 twist and a bit of poetic licence
im shooting a 20" barrel with a 1-12 twist in real conditions 🤷‍♀️

27grs of CFE223 with a 55gr bullet has been my go-to load for a few years now (in both bolt action and semi-auto rifles). A 53gr load would likely work just as well IMHO...
I want to say mine used to be the 53g vmax with maybe 26.8g, it was definitely around that. The humble lee loader gave me an ES of maybe 6 for maybe a dozen rounds or so 😂

Luck? Yeh most probably 😆

What I meant was , how are you going to go about duplicating the factory ammo? Not powder and velocity, but the mechanics of it. ~Muir

Ok right with you now, no all i want is to throw the same bullet (53gr vmax) down range at about the same speed (fps)
from a Hornady case as a factory load, but hopefully fine tune it so i get better tighter groups consistently
