OK, I am thinking of getting a petrol driven log splitter. I have tons of wood to process, a lot on the ground already, and a lot still standing.
I have always split by hand using a Maul, I quite enjoy doing it, I find as you get older you need to keep going, so splitting wood is a great form of exercise. But I have a lot, an awful lot, of wood to process, and looking at it makes me shudder , so I am thinking of getting a splitter to help. I don’t do this for a living, so don’t need anything agricultural.
Thoughts and experiences on what to get please chaps.
Cheers.
Mike.
