Long nose cut? Advice welcome!

i do red stags like that , no jig just get them held fast in the leg vice and use one of those small joinery hand saws .

You lot are simply not taking the hint are you? . Can not one of you offer to come and collect the head, take it back home, sort it out , and drop it back at mine.

I don’t bother skinning the head. Chop nose out with a knife. I then use a hardpoint panel saw - the £7 saw from local builders merchant and just make a cut in line with centre of the eyeballs.

To hold the head I use a ratchet strap on the antlers against a piece of board that is on a table. I put bits of wood under the antlers to hold stable.

I then skin and boil out and scrape as normal.
