Long walking sock recommendations

There's someone making good quality socks still in the UK, believe it or not. Based at Hathern in Leicestershire and I know they're sold on ebay. A search for shooting socks will find them.

Are these the same as HJ Hall Commando socks?

I've worn these for years at work.
