You might be expecting a moan as that’s normally the only time people post about customer service, but this post couldn’t be any further from that.
Shot my Longthorne on Tuesday and the stock came loose so I took it home and stripped the stock off and realised the stock bolt threads were damaged this quite possibly might of been my fault but either way gutted to say the least.
Add to that I love this thing and I am shooting a charity shoot on the Sunday, I’m gutted.
I took some pictures of the bolt and action and emailed Longthorne guns, this was at 9.00pm and I kid you not Jim was on the phone about 10mins later and we were chatting about the problem and my situation.
First he offers to stick a new bolt in the post the next day, then he decides he would rather replace the piece in the action that the bolts fastens into.
So he says if I post it the Wednesday morning to get to him Thursday am delivery he will turn it round and have it back with by Friday.
Now I’ve had a lot of promises made to me in my life and this seemed like a nice gesture but that this would never happen but I posted the next morning and sure as eggs are eggs that damn thing turned up Friday all fixed with a new bolt.
So my baby is back in one piece today and I just sent Jim an email to thank him before I started this post and half way through typing it Jim’s on the phone talking to me about how tight the bolt needs to be.
I’ll be honest I’ve heard people knock him and the company and I can’t comment on their situation but I can only sing his and Elaine’s praises and all the guys that work there for a gun that is absolutely fantastic and service that is absolutely amazing and on top of that they are just really nice people.
All I can say is a massive thanks and I owe him a few drinks for sure.
