Wanted: M14x1 .243 moderator - lightweight

Hi

Before buying new, seeing what might be able second hand in excellent condition.

Wanted - excellent condition m14x1 moderator for .243 rifle. Looking for something ultralight for stalking on foot.

Let me know if you have owt suitable to sell

I was looking myself for a while but no joy, people tend to keep good stuff. So decided to get a new one. Decided on a wildcat evolution for my .243. All I can say is go for it, what a fantastic moderator. Easy to look after too so should last many years.

Not selling but I have a F&D FW149 M14x1 which I use on my .243 (and .270). I had a FW196 and compared to the 149, it's much bigger - you simply don't notice the 149 on the end of the barrel at at only 149g (compared to the 430g for an EVO mentioned above) and it is fantastic for stalking. I currently run a UTS231 on my .308s (as well as a OD Alpine Hunter) and I have just bought a UTS131 so you could say I'm sold on F&D

Try to find a S/H FW149 or failing that, buy a new UTS131 - I VERY much doubt you'll be disappointed!

Yup - what is says on the tin - 131, 149, 196, 231, etc. Mind you, the OD Alpine Hunter is no heavyweight either at 167g - also Titanium 3D printed like the F&D UTS moderators.
