Magnetic scope caps

Hey hey, I have a vortex viper hd 3-15x44 and I’m looking for some objective and rear lenses caps but I would like some stream line ones like the magnet swarovski or Leupold . I have heard that the
Tenebraex Objective Flip Up Cover are potentially universe and fit on multiple scopes anyone has any experience of these or know of any alternatives. I’ve got some vortex defenders caps but find them quite bulky, they with great but I want stream lined of possible.
I’m amazed a company hasn’t created a product such as this

I don't know why people like Tenabreax. I think they are annoying, difficult to operate quietly and fitment is slightly questionable. Used them on Leica and S&B scopes. They are also not as low profile as I would like in terms of scope mounting as close as I like to the barrel. Not impressed having tried them and then selling them on pretty quickly.

I would go with some kind of bikini style affair or maybe the neoprene stuff but I personally find them a faff. You want something that is basically instant to remove with no effort and is silent or can be operated silently with not much care.

For a commercially available solution, the March lens covers are the best I have ever come across that are a very slimline, low profile version of the Butler Creek old school covers but with the benefit of being made from proper plastic with metal springs, lock back design and open and close positively. I bought a March scope many years ago and i'm still using the same caps. They are properly durable and made especially by Deon in the same place as the scopes. They are so good that when I got a T96 scope, I bought some more as close as possible to fitment and it just required a couple of wraps of tape on the objective bell housing for sound fitment and the wide angle ocular housing variant fitted the knurling on the back of the S&B so perfectly it was untrue. It solidly fixes on to the knurling which never moves but also allows the ocular to be wound in and out without removal.

Always amazed more people do not utilise the March offerings. They are also really cheap. Like £15 or so each plus some outrageous postage but still less than £40 to protect your valuable scope for years.

There are very few sizes available because March have only a few scope housing dimensions and these can be found on their website PDF's. So find out what the OD of the obj and ocular are on the various March scopes and what size caps they use and then compare to your own scope to see what "tape modification" is needed to enjoy years of cheap and hassle free lens protection.

Cheers guys , I’ll have a look andddddd probably just stick with my Vortex defenders 🤣cos they do work great ,I just wanted something more streamlined lined ,but there doesn’t seem to be any true “easy” universal options out there.Time to start a lens cap company 🤣
