Magpies?

Has anyone any evidence of Magpies using winter dormitary nests?, I am seeing a pair constantly carrying twigs & other stuff into a nest they had for young last year.
And before anyone asks why they are still about, they are right next to a neighbour's property

We have a few come in for the winter food and the warm woods - normally i am at them - but this year im leaving them to get use to seeing me and the bait i use for the foxes - then late winter / early spring they will be easy to catch before they start doing damage in the nesting season

Usually get localised population explosions I find when you have neighbours who like to feed the nicer birds all year round.

Too many chicks survive and the growth is exponential as they have unlimited food.
