I have up graded to a Magpul PRS3 stock on the Ruger precision rifle that I use for target shooting .
It takes 1/2 to change over , and I believe a good option upgrade . The Youtube opinion is to up grade the mounting tube but I think it will be fine using the rifle original tube due to the stock clamping to the tube .
The mounting tube has a raised ridge like a key on a shaft which locates in to the stock .
Using 37mm rings on a 34mm scope I have a good sight picture , could go to a higher ring but again works well with 37mm .
Had good service from Rimfire Magic who supplied the stock and promptly and the best price on the web .

They are a great stock, I have a gen 3 on one of my rifles. I wish they had kept the flat bottom as a bag rider from the gen 2 but the cover over the pic rail apparently came loose on those.
If you want to add a little bit of comfort, try one of these Hoptic stick on cheek covers. Seems a lot for a "sticker", but I would 100% buy it again for mine having used it.
