I was very really surprised at the Glide Walkers performance, and price point.

I used it as a rough n tumble truck rod, generally casting for casting Savage Gear line thru sandeels (11-27g ) and the.big seekers way into the far beyond, normally paired with a penn slammer IV 3500 and 22 lbs braid.

My fishing is mostly Salmon and Seatrout ( salt water included for STs) with occasional Bass/Saithe/Macks etc too. and this rod has plenty backbone to fight decent fish, but also has some feel

I do own much higher end spinning rods for specific uses, (High water - Devon minnow - big river ; upstream single worming ; flipping a mepps etc) but tbh, as an all-rounder, the Glide Walker is brilliant

Same here, this was my backup rod, I have snapped the more expensive HTO Nebula a few times now and the Glide Walker is pretty well as nice to fish and is much more solid!

Great rods, I have a couple in different lengths, but I think this will blow your budget unfortunately. These are commanding +£150 on eBay just now but you never know, good luck
