i am considering replacing my Mauser M03 as I cannot easily find a replacement barrel in 6.5mm . Considering an option of Mauser M12. i would be pleased to hear comments re this rifle from current owners.
I can’t fault mine in .243. I’ve two T3 Tikkas and the Mauser feels better built. No more accurate I’m sure. They feel different, with a much tighter tolerance feel on bolt action. Three position safety is better. Nice crisp trigger. I’d buy another.
I would avoid the hexalok system. It was a few years back now but I recall they looked a bit pony to me and the place where I bought it also advised that a rail and rings were better in their view. I think it was recknagel from memory. Thanks for your replies- I will be ordering one next week - just need to work out whether to go for the creedmore option. Do you preference for scope mounts for your M12- I have a Zeiss Conquest V4 I want to use .
