Medical Negligence Claim - Recommendation

I am in an unfortunate position where an injury was misdiagnosed and as a result, I was allowed to walk on a seriously injured foot when it should have been instantly immobilised and no weight put on it AT ALL!!!

This was after 2 x visits to A&E inc. 1 x admission for 4 days and despite symptoms, they did not do an X-Ray that would have instantly shown the issue and the path to follow. Thats in addition to a walk in emergency centre and 3 or 4 trips to a neard by surgery with 3 different doctors.

Ironically, this is a teaching hospital that allegedly specialise in the very condition condition!!!

I have never entertained litigation or ambulance chasing no win no fee solicititors.

So with an eye on sorting the wheat from the chaff, does anyone have recommendations as to who is the company to use.

I am now pretty much unable to work and lost my job as it was standing for the working day and driving.

Immediate prognosis is a 6 month plus recocery if no complication or - worst case - amputation of foot or parts of leg thereof. An experienced nurse commented it was the worst she has ever seen. That proper cheered me up. How we giggled about it.

I doubt the injury will leave me in the same position as before plus more rapid deterioration over my future years.

I am very very very ****ed off as I repeatedly stared I was in trouble and they were barking up the wrong tree but ignored.

After my 3rd visit to A& E, I insisted on an X-Ray/MRI.

The ONLY person I came across that correctly diagnosed the true condition was - and you won't believe this - was my partner who spent a few minutes on google.

She passed her phone over with pics and symptoms and said thats it...... and sadly she was spot bollok on. Every single symptom I put a tick by

The damage this has done to my foot of 3 weeks of limping around in it is serious. As if the original wasn't serious enough to start with.

The final consultant who viewed the X-Rays was simply astounded I didn't get zapped on the first day I presented.

So, if there are decent no win solicitor's out there, I would be very pleased to hear from you. Thanks
In a battle of wits I refuse to engage with an unarmed person.
To one shot one kill, you need to seek the S. Kill only comes from Skill

Seek a professional solicitor in this field he will tell you if you have a claim, expect a protracted case (possibly many years) however if you are correct you may obtain what you are after.
my wife still carries the emotional and physical scars of her encounter.
having said that I still have the highest regard for the NHS we are lucky to have such a service.
sometimes they get it wrong though.

Sorry to hear you've had such a rubbish time. Afraid I don't know any solicitors that I'd trust more than any others. Recently went through PALS about treatment of MiL and it was useful to make sure all the right people had to make statements and get stuff on paper. Hope the prognosis gets better.

Try and find a big local firm close to you and see if they have a medical negligence dept. Some will. Steer clear of the ones advertising on TV.

Just to put a bit of context to the advice to find a local firm.
My eldest had an accident, resulting in a plated wrist. His insurance company legal team was going to settle for around £15,000.
A family friend happens to be an injury specialist solicitor. Long story short he took the case on. To the tune of considerably more money.
The typical no win no fee setup works on bands for charging the clients insurance (no win bit) or the opposition in costs. Ex work is £2,000, next stage pays a bit more. And so on.
They are simply working on a numbers game. The more settlements the more they earn, for the least effort.
A good firm will probably explain the costs and stages fairly early on.

My daughter is a Doctor and here partner a solicitor. There are specialist firms that deal with nothing but defending the medical profession and seeking reparations from those who have suffered from negligence .
I am just entering into an agricultural case , so i have employed a firm that specialises in agriculture . Think about that and then hit google imho.
