Not sure what mid is but Bestard Terrier or Estepa. I got them to put the sole on that. It's a Canada 2 with a sole change.
Now why would they be superior. Well first the Swiss leather won't crack even for those who neglect to condition it. The Estepa has no heel bend. Another failure point. basically raises the question why was the heel bend invented.
Have not conditioned my Terriers, shows no sign of creasing. Used for steep NZ and running in. So had plenty of opportunity to flex and show atleast a first sign of cracking which is creasing. But not a sign.
They outlast all of the above in NZ from farming to hunting. Though for recreationalists who want to boast about their boot in 50 years go for their EVA ones..not kidding.
