Moderator on certicate

Probably one for discussion with my FEO on Monday but just wondered if one knows where I stand with the scenario below :-

1) buyer (me) agrees on sale of FAC Air rifle and mod via Guntrader
2) buyer makes payment for above
3) buyer sends certificate to seller
4) seller visits their RFD, fills in my certicate and RFD posts to my RFD
5) rifle and mod delivered and I go to collect from my RFD
6) my RFD states moderator is not filled in on my ticket as being transferred
7) buyer contacts seller and seller says it was never listed on his ticket and came on the rifle when he bought it

Always thought moderators as a 'slot' seems a bit pointless and there was talk about changing the law but where do I stand with this one?

to use a moderator on a FAC airgun it needs to be on your certificate.

Get FEO to write the mod onto your certificate, or has the RFD held on to the mod? in which case ask the RFD to put it on your certificate.

edit, really is time for mods to come off certificates total waste of police resources.

I know, hence the question. My RFD is reluctant to give me the mod however as its not on my certificate (understandably)
Buy the mod of your RFD for £1 if he has it already, he can transfer it onto your ticket 👍

Is the moderator detachable or an integral part of the barrel? Probably the former, but I understand that if a permanent part of the barrel eg delisle carbine it doesn't require a separate slot.
But back to your issue, if it unscrews or slips off, use it on a sub 12ft/lbs air rifle and retain an open slot for another mod
