I can't remember the thread size of the mod but wilcat rifles made me one to fit their .22 RF mod on my 1/2x28 AR. For some reason, the first one they sent me wouldn't fit so they asked me to send my rifle in. When I got everything back, it all worked great. Think the cost was about £25.

They have a lathe and mill, make all sorts of engine stuff, thread barrels etc, I really don't think it will be a problem for them.

½ unf and m14 are not so far apart ( .5mm) in their outside diameter’s
You need a reasonable amount of material to retain mechanical strength when making something to convert from one thread to another.
Do the maths on a re thread or a second mod and you will have your answer.
