Mounting a gun cabinet on its back under a storage bedframe? Anyone done this?

So I have had an offer accepted on my first house, so my guns will follow me from my family home there. However its much smaller, more modern and does not have solid walls for mounting a safe. I want to make the best use of the space I have.

Been looking at beds and noticed the one pictured below. The idea would be to mount the safe to the floor underneath the bed frame. Maximum covert storage and I would assume also decent strong mounting potential to the floor on its back.

My questions then:

  1. Has anyone done this before? How was it/was it well received by the plod?
  2. Can anyone here who has had to mount to plasterboard walls offer advice on how they did so and what did you use to mount it?
Cheers.

Sounds like a bad idea to me. A lot of unnecessary faff everytime you either want to access the safe or rearrange your furniture.
While it is sensible to make your storage as unobtrusive as possible, plod don't like it if it's so inaccessible that you might be tempted not to put your guns away.

Well the bed top lifts up on with little effort due to the pistons so it wouldn't be any more of an issue than opening a door to a room.

Cupboard under stairs?
There isn't one sadly. Stairs are in the corner of the living room. There are plenty of wall options for stud mounting but I was just trying to come up with a clever idea to save space and make it impossible to spot.

Dense or more likely thermalite block wity plasterboard on dabs, unless it’s timber or steel frame which would have come up when you took the mortgage?
