So a rework of Mr Porkys pig pie .
Haggis, bacon, mushrooms, pork mince, and salt n pepper to taste.
All wrapped in lazy pastry (shortcrust).
And an egg for egg wash.
Open up the Haggis and into a bowl, add the pork mince ( 1lb) then finely chop 2 big thick rashers of bacon.
Shred mushrooms into the bowl and salt n pepper the mix .
Mix up till your hands hurt then set aside.
Line a cake tin with baking paper then line with the pastry.
Fill 4/5ths full and trim the surplus pastry to make a lid .
Stab vents in the top and egg wash all over the lid.
Place in the middle of the oven gas mk 6 for an hour.
Allow to cool then lock the kitchen door and get stuck in 😋😋🤣

Do you use proper wild haggis, or do use the much more widely available artificial haggis made from bits of sheep.

And if using wild haggis do you rate the dish whilst cooking in the same direction. So for clockwise, you rotate clockwise etc or do you rotate vice versa?

It's an ancient secret recipe and you really need 2 .Every one knows🤫 as they have 1 leg longer than the other .
All the better to go up and down Ben Nevis in the wild 😜
