MTC Scopes

How could you possibly know ? I do ask you.
Simples i own both zeiss and swaroski scopes on my centre fires my freind has mamba on his fimfire and i have a hawke. On comparison vs. Budget i rate the mtc mamba in the sub 200 market. Its not in the same league as the german top end but guessing it would be a little lavish to put either on a rimfire.

I too was looking for a scope for my 22 rimfire and found the MTC's would white out too easily. I ended up looking through loads til I found something that suited me and my budget.

I've been happy with my mtc genesis. It's made in Korea unlike the vipers and mambas and supposed to be a better build quality. I don't know if it is but its seems ok to me, holds zero, clear image I'm sure it's all the scope you need on a rimfire.

One of the things that is not being said is how you intend to use it. MTCs are a cheap scope. Sorry i will quantify that. they are a budget scope. Probably one of the better budget scopes. If you intend to use it on an air rifle during the day or on a .22 then I would say they are ok. If you need first light or last light then these are not the ones to go for. They simply do not have the quality for last light. If you have a limited budget then you would possibly be better off with secondhand better quality. They can milk out at higher mag. But one of the problems here is that head alignment is critical and you can reduce the milky effect with care. So I was told after I sold mine so can't confirm or deny
A number of people I know use the mamba with night vision with great success.

so depending on what you want to use it for will depend on if it is any good for you. The problem is one mans weed is another mans flower. Personally I would go for a higher spec second hand. But then I will always opt for secondhand where possible cos I'm a complete tightwad so maybe I may not be the best to ask.
