My wife is divorcing me because of SD !

You're lucky indeed Malc, my Mrs puts up with me shooting and is usually quite supportive but draws the line at hanging trophies throughout the house......although she saw a roe shoulder mount the other day and has agreed that I'll be allowed to display "one like that" in a location of her choice somewhere in the house ( currently I just have a stack of skulls/antlers in my shed/office)

+1

Mrs Pine Marten isn't really keen on trophies on the wall, but then I have not yet shot anything that warrants it. Besides, I started the negociations with the suggestion that a fallow skin would make a great play mat for Master Pine Marten. Obviously that's going nowhere, but in comparison a little skull mount on the bit of wall that you can't really see much is just fine. My sister however would love a fallow skin, so at some point I'll see about whether I can shoot a nice one and have it tanned. Although there is the problem that I don't have adequate storage facilities for large deer. I'm sure something could be arranged. There's no hurry.

Feel bad for you Grant, as once they start the Always Stalking / Heads on Wall / `Gun`.... chatter, then things are usually doomed..... had a few of them myself in the past...

On the other hand those rare woman who embrace the whole `stalking` thing are out there..... After doing the usual dating things with my now wife, she said, so when are you taking me out stalking then.... that was it, next night out we went, stalked in on a little roe buck, and got a good shot, clean gralloch, and then skinned, butchered, and cooked it over the next few days.... she loved it...

My wife then went on to ask "next time we go stalking can I have a go at gralloching".... I asked her to marry me pretty quick after that !!!!! So like Malc, they are out there....

Good luck to you.

Neil.

I count myself very lucky. Mrs weeman doesn't mind me hanging my trophies on the wall or filling the freezer and stalking when I'm allowed. I however tend to pack her off to the pampering centre they love every so often and she knows I try and stalk when she is working.
Her only grudge is my time on here when supposedly spending time on here.

Im working on her to try her first stalk.
Last year for xmas she collected 12 pictures of my favorite times stalking and had them made up into a callender for this year.
She's not a bad woman.

I must be dead lucky my missus is always asking me when my next trip is And there's heads all over the wall (think she just likes to get rid of me after 32 years)
