Looking at the data provided by vihtavouri, nosler and sierra. Its got quite a large variance of max and mins.
Viht - min 39grn Max- 42.7 for a nosler BT
Viht- min 39.5 max- 45.7 for sierra SPBT
3 grains between the same style of bullet.
Nosler data tracks with the Sierra bullet choice when consulted. Min 41 max 45grn.

Obvs i know start at 39 grn which i intend.
Looking for in anyone has followed the above data before and how they found it performed with the type of bullet used. Did u see pressure signs? Have you tried different bullets?

Thank Pablo

Viht loads can be on the low side.
I would start with the nosler data at 41 and work up from there .

Have got some recent data from last week, usual caveats about home loading apply. Mauser M12 Impact, 20" barrel, S&B brass, CCI LRP, Viht N135 45.1gr, Sierra #2125 150gr SPBT. Magnetospeed 5 shots average 2822fps, SD 15.5, ES 35. Bolt lift OK, you can be the judge for the primers.

First photo couldn't call the fifth shot, possibly close to 1 or 3 but not off paper (backing board about 24" by 18").

Thanks. Give me food for thought. You speed ties in better with nosler data compared to the viht data.

Fox Classic Hunter Factory load is 45gr 130gr bullet

I ran 150gr over 43gr from memory

Great powder for 308 especially shorter barrelled ones
Agree with Ed, whilst a newbie to reloading I too have had good results in a 20” barrel T3 .308 with Vint 135 and a range of 150 grain bullets. 44 grain seemed the sweet spot.

It has been used successfully by commercial reloading outfits. Other faster powders than N140 also due to metering reliability.

Nothing wrong with it, but depends what you wan it for. Killing deer at 200yds, no prob.
