Names for fallow bucks

When I did my DSC 1 - some years back now - I was told that old time foresters used to have all sorts of colourful names for fallow bucks according to their level of development: brocket, pricket and so on.

Can anybody out there refresh my memory, please?

Thanks

James

In the case of fallow I think it's pricket, sorel, sore, bare buck and master buck? 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 years respectively.

Brocket is red deer I think?

I think it depends on what part of the world you come from ( I think)

This is what I was told;

BUCK - The male fallow deer.
PRICKET or SPIKER - A buck in its second year.
SORREL - A buck in its third year.
SOARor SORE - A buck in its fourth year.
BARE BUCK - A buck in it's fifth year
DOE - A female fallow deer.
TEG - A doe in its second year.
FAWN - A young (first year) fallow deer.
WEANER - A slightly older fawn.

Sore
Bare buck
Buck
Great buck

NOT in consecutive years!! It depends on antler growth.

Don't those radishes repeat?
