New Deer Management Certificate (DMC) from DMQ

Another money maker for DMQ, BASC and BDS. let's face it they only added trained hunter status to level two to force more people into doing it.
If it was for any other reason, why reduce the number of witnessed stalks from three to one.
Trained hunter was added to level 2 as it’s a practical assessment unlike the majority of level 1.

Sorry but have to agree more courses and costing more . Why did BASC not send out information to its members before going ahead or did i miss that.

Someone asked the same question of the DMQ Chair John Thornley who 'unveiled' the DMC at the FC event in Worcester in April.

John said 'it's the same, but better.' More detail needed.
And, if I recollect correctly, what this does to the status of the Lantra-approved BDS/BASC DMC courses conducted in the past. There were fliers on the table announcing this development but precious little detail and it has taken the best part of 2 months for this to hit the DMQ website. More details is certainly needed and I for one would wish to see previous BDS/BASC DMC qualifications accredited against this new DMQ.

If you've done a lantra advanced deer management course do you need to do a DMQ One ??..... is the dmq one more accepted to the powers that be than a lantra one?.....
