I currently reside in East Tennessee at the foothills to the Smokey Mountains. We moved here from Western Colorado at the base of the Grand Mesa. I love to fish and hunt. I've been reloading/handloading pistol and rifle ammunition since I was 13 years old, so that would be slightly over 50 years now. I retired from the U.S. Army after 32 years of service and enjoyed my time on the range firing many weapons from the ground and various other platforms.
I don't formally compete, but will bet a steak dinner against friends and relatives. My toughest competitor is against myself. I handload the following rifle calibers: 22 Hornet, 223 Rem/5.56, 243 Win, 270 Win, 7-08, 308, 30-06, 338 Win Mag and 375 Winchester. I'm not particularly fond of long range hunting as I enjoy the hunt/stalk challenge which is why I hunt deer more with a bow these days. Varmint hunting in the winter is another enjoyable sport for me.
Stalking trout with my fly rod is another thing I enjoy.
