Hi Folks

Time I said Hello to everyone as well. I started airgun shooting again to take a friends son out and make sure he played by the rules. Caught the bug and wanted to try something bigger. Found stalkers very helpful an enthusiastic did my first stalk down near Taunton. Life changing experience now mad keen, Did Dsc1 in April 07 and got my ticket in Oct. Now driving a tikka t3 lightweight in .243 win and also have a .22lr (doesn't everyone). Have done all of my shooting so far with Tony at Castle Deer as he is just down the road. Forty odd years and I am dressing up and playing with guns. Mid life crisis should have had it years ago. To anybody who is new thinking about it reading this pick up a phone there are some great people who will help on the other end

I still know next to nothing but I think DSC2 beckons. Anybody got some fallow or Red stalking near Someset?

Bye for now

Hi Ghostrifle, nice to see you posting again. I put up a thread in the 'Trophy Room Comments' section about your fine beasts. Did you read it?

Its great to see so many new people on site.

Hi
I have been hunting from the age of 9 and it is a complete obsession for me.
I recently moved down from Edinburgh and am living in London, where I work in the City as a trainee solicitor. I guess this makes me a 'snobby City boy' to some but there you go, you wouldn't know to look at me!

I have stalked for quite a few years now (am 23) and it hasn't lost any of its buzz yet. Still can't sleep well the night before!

I have a 270 and a 375 (so far) with space for a 243 on my ticket.
Despite rumours, I can confirm that the 270 hasn't killed me through excessive recoil (yet) not has it perforated my ear drums through excessive muzzle blast. I have done the DSC1, and will start on the DSC2 soon, but only because it gives some credibility. Nothing beats experience in the field, alone or with a mate.

Have been reading more than posting so far, really enjoying the content/educational aspect of it. Hope to see you guys at the museum in May!

Gabriel

Hi Boghossian,

Good to see you posting mate! As for 'snobby City boy'. I don't think you have to worry about class on this site! I'm a working class bloke but speak to many other people on this site from all walks of life. We are all stalkers and deer lovers, class is not an issue, it really isn't!

Keep posting and enjoying the site my friend!
