Reminds me of one of mine that we did a photo shoot with when he was about the same age - no idea where the photos went (long time before digital), but remember one in particular where he had one of my tweed shooting flat caps sat on his head, a proper "working dog"
First working day. 9am out on your shoot, let him out of his box praise him to high heaven. Show him the whistle and the lead. He then goes and cocks his leg, squats in the doorway of the shoot hut. The whistle blows for the start of the day he looks back at you admiringly. What could go wrong. He then sends a message through body language that says see you at 4-30 pm dad. Spaniel owners go to heaven.
