New pet

This three-year-old male was captured in community lands near the border with Kruger. The vet who darted him also happens to be our vet. The locals won't let him be released nearby. Therefore, looks like we're getting a new pet.

We will release him in the north of our area, away from existing prides. He will wear a collar for a year or two so that our biologist can integrate the data into our existing lion research programme.

My colleagues refuse to accept it but I shall name him 'Tiddles'.

I was lucky when in KNP we came across lions on a giraffe they killed the previous night most were full and just led down having a snooze .

Funnily enough when hunting in a concession not far from Carl's with Derek Littleton we saw a tagged lion. We also met the American husband and wife team and their little girl. I can't remember their names or the University that were doing the study. @CarlW. Been going on a few years As I seem to recall they were also researching Hunting Dogs This would be 2015 I think
