Brother was told exactly the same when trying to place an order for .243 CTR 6-9month wait. So went with the stainless super varmint instead.

I had the tikka super varmint (didn't like the stock at all) and shot both the bergara and Mauser M12impact, personally out of those 3 Id go for the mauser, lovely rifle. well worth trying them out for your own preference though as they're all good rifles.
Unless they send a 6.5x57 when you ordered a 6.5x47I have undertaken two attempts to spend some serious money on Sako rifles. I never succeeded because of ridiculous delivery times of up to a year which in the end where not even kept.
With Blaser three months are three months. Guess what I am shooting.
flexed too much for my liking and just didnt feel or fit right, easy to change though (I changed to a PSE), in the end got rid of the rifle as it was too heavy and cumbersome as a stalker (I primarily use a Schultz and Larsen and a sauer 101 as main stalking rifles now). The Mauser stock I like, and the Bergara HMR stock is almost perfect for an NV foxing rifle imo. its all personal though, what fits me or I like, won't necessarily work for anyone else. What didn't you like about the stock?
Interesting point, I love the HMR but it's just too heavy to stalk with I feel. I think the M12 impact is on the cards for sure. yep I wouldn't stalk with it (the HMR)myself, on top of the truck at night though?....perfectInteresting point, I love the HMR but it's just too heavy to stalk with I feel. I think the M12 impact is on the cards for sure. Just have to find out lead times and everthing
that was exactly my predicamentI own an hmr and with a tier one rail and rings delta stryker scope, dpt mod, it weighs loads, I didn't think it would be a problem walking with it, but after using my tikka t3x ss varmint with the same rail and rings but with a Zeiss conquest and stalon mod and also not being the lightest tikka, it's just ridiculous the weight of the hmr compared to the tikka, if I'm going to a highseat yes the hmr comes into it's own, but i will be looking for a lighter bigger calibre rifle now. Love the stock of the hmr though, don't like the tikka stock.

Indeed. I tried to buy a LH Sako a coupla three yrs back and was told it would be 6-9 months and despite being prepared to pay a deposit or even the balance if necessary, I was also advised the price might have gone up by the time it was delivered and that I would have to pay the difference.. Ha ha ha, I literally told them where to shove it and promised myself that I will never buy a Sako or Tikka rifle new. I would look at the older ones (which seem better by all accounts anyway) but no chance would I give them money when they quite clearly are only interested in their own business practices rather than actually looking after customers. They should be doing both, not just one.

I ordered my tikka in left hand and it was here within the week perhaps just lucky but would hesitate or buying another I love mine
