I did it a few months ago and it was very good, I already had the large game but wanted the small game certificate so just did the whole thing again. It was very well run and informative, I'd highly recommend it
That was my thinking, now that the DSC1 doesn’t cover the trained hunter aspect for selling to a game dealer, I was thinking this course would be my best best as you get both large and small game and trained hunter statusDid it with Vicars game in the early noughties.
As good as any other you’ll find and has small game that DSC doesn’t.

I did the course last week, just the hygiene one, and like you only had a confirmation email,I'm doing this course on Tuesday and other than confirmation of the booking have heard nowt from the NGO to say if I need to bring anything with me(other than packup) and fear I might have left it a bit late to guarantee an email reply in time now.
Can anyone who's already done it shed any light? I'm only doing the meat hygeine part, not the full dsc1 as I already have that from before.

I deliver this course and have trained hundreds of guys and ladies. It is painless and very straightforward. There is a short assessment (multiple choice) at the end of the morning and all candidates are given an information pack to take away for future reference to the best practice and legislation covered during the course.Has anyone taken the NGO’s 1 day Wild Game meat hygiene course? It says they cover large/small game and wild boar for trained hunter status. If so how did you all find the course/exam?
Many Thanks
